Sometimes you just know when you see the one that will move you forward. When looking for that piece it was evident that “Private Show” was the one to do just that. As a baby his hip shape, the turn to his rib, the overall overall muscle shape, and his skeletal design were that of a future stud buck. Sired by the well known “Unicorn,” owned by Allen Show Lambs,was a purchase that had to be made. He created lots of buzz over at Al and Kandy Schminke’s this spring and we are glad to have brought him home. Cory Brothers Club Lambs and Northern Oklahoma College are excited for what the future holds.

The excitement surrounding this guy is indescribable. He's one of the best made sheep we have ever raised and we can't wait for his 2020 lambs to hit the ground. He has incredible base width, hip shape, and his rib design is one that is necesary to compete at the highest level in the show ring. Maybe his best attribute however, is how well he moves around when on the loose, staying true in his lines.

"Shot in the Dark" is a 3/4 sibling to the Grand Champion Market Lamb at the 2018 Indiana State Fair, that was raised by Stillwell Club Lambs and exhibited by Lane Slaton. A lamb of that caliber was what we were looking for when we bred our 1511 daughters to Bullseye and "Shot in the Dark" delivered.

When Jordan and I started looking for one of our next stud rams we knew exactly where we were going. We got in the truck to make the quick trip over to Jason Stillwell’s and that’s where we saw the flush!! It was one of the best flushes we saw the entire spring. We started sorting through the buck lambs of the flush and this guy, “Party Up North” rose to the top. We are so excited about this young exciting new stud. He is flawless in rib and top shape with the look and power from the side. Party Up Norths Dam, “Addiction,” happens to be Jason’s awesome Donor ewe. She has produced many winners including: 4th overall at the Indiana State Fair, Reserve Natural Colored at the Missouri State Fair, and another class winning Crossbred at the Indiana State Fair. She has also produced a buck lamb that Jason was keeping and a few daughters that will be awesome replacement females one day. We have high expectation for this ram and we can’t wait until his lambs are on the ground so that you can spend your summer in the winner’s circle having a Party Up North!!

You know those times when a lamb hits the ground and there will be a big decision to make down the road? That situation describes this guy. We were wowed when he hit the ground, and we knew a decision would have to come later by the way of to band or not to band. The base width, top shape, hip structure, and pure power that he possesses was evident from day one. As you can see we kept the bander away from him and we are super excited to see what he is able to produce. We turned down numerous offers for him as a weather, but we are very happy with our decision. “Record Year” is out of Stillwell 1511 and a Dirty Banana x Trigger Ewe that we purchased in Brian Johnson’s Red, White, and Ewe sale back in 2016. We were extremely happy that Mike and Greg decided to jump on board with us on this great prospect and we are all looking for him to provide us with a “Record Year.”

We only got one live breeding season out of 1511, but it was a good one. It’s unfortunate that this genetic giant left us so soon, but his females are game changers. We were fortunate enough to get some frozen semen put up on 1511 and he is still being utilized today. We can’t thank Jason enough for allowing us in on 1511 a few short years ago.
